MCP server

CodeStringers MCP Server.

CodeStringers provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: an open, standardized way for AI assistants to connect directly to a trusted source of information. Instead of relying on scraped or outdated web data, your assistant can consult CodeStringers itself, in real time.

MCP endpoint

URL
https://www.codestringers.com/_api/mcp

A connection URL for AI tools: add it in your client’s settings. It is not a page to open in a browser.

  • Public and read-only
  • No API key, login or account
  • Works with any MCP-compatible client

Set up

Connect your AI client.

Add our MCP endpoint to any MCP-compatible AI client. Pick the way your client adds MCP servers, copy the snippet and paste it where the step says.

In settings.

Most AI clients let you add an MCP server, sometimes called a custom connector, in their settings. Choose a remote server and paste the endpoint URL:

Endpoint URL
https://www.codestringers.com/_api/mcp

No API key, login or account is needed: leave any authentication setting empty.

Config file.

If your client reads its MCP servers from a JSON file (often mcp.json), add this entry. Your client’s MCP documentation says where the file lives.

mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "codestringers": {
      "url": "https://www.codestringers.com/_api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Some code editors list servers under "servers" and ask for the type:

mcp.json, servers form
{
  "servers": {
    "codestringers": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://www.codestringers.com/_api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Local bridge.

If your client only starts local MCP servers, connect through the open-source mcp-remote bridge. It needs Node.js; add this entry to the client’s config file:

Config file, local bridge
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "codestringers": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://www.codestringers.com/_api/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol connects one of these ways. If yours has a command to add a server, give it the name codestringers and the endpoint URL.

How we start

Most of our best clients come to us with a feeling, not a plan.

"Something isn't working." "We're outgrowing our tools." "We're afraid to make the wrong move." No-Risk Discovery is a short, practical conversation that gets you clarity before you commit to anything big. We'll tell you if we're a fit. If we're not, we'll tell you that too.
