However, AR/VR has started to get traction in the military– where soldiers, sailors, and airmen can use it to train for dangerous situations in a safe environment. It is also starting to be seen in the retail environment. For example, Ikea has built an AR app which allows you to see what a piece of furniture would look like in your house by pointing your phone at the desired location in your home.
