Our React.js development company built our own products and dozens of others for our clients. CodeStringers can help you build scalable, high performance applications using React.js and other software development technologies.

    </What is React JavaScript?>

React JavaScript, also referred to as React.js, is an open-source library from frontend user interfaces. Facebook (now Meta) originally developed React to build web and mobile applications. Meta along with a large community of contributing developers continue to maintain React. The React library is built on components where each component is a piece of functionality such as a button.

Why use React versus plain old JavaScript? Imagine you have a web page in an application that has two buttons in different colors. Using JavaScript, you’d need to build and maintain the code for each button independently. This creates a lot of extra work and problems with code manageability. With React, you build a component, then style each use of that component using React “props” (short for properties).

This makes it both faster to build apps and easier to maintain and change them in the future.

When is React a good choice for a software application?

React is particularly strong for single-page applications or applications that include pages with different panels or sections in which data needs to be loaded and rendered but when reloading the entire page deteriorates the user experience. This is because React can reload data on a page without having to reload the entire page. Imagine a web application that includes a set of tiles at the top with summary data and a data table below with detailed row-by-row information, and that the data in the tiles needs to be updated automatically when it changes on the backend. React can handle updates to each tile or to the data table without having to refresh the entire page.

What products are built using React?

React is one of the most popular JavaScript libraries in the development community. Many of the most successful software applications use React. Examples include:

    Facebook

The social networking site uses React JavaScript extensively for its web app, showcasing its capabilities in handling dynamic content and vast amounts of user data.

    Instagram

React JavaScript helps power many parts of Instagram’s web application, providing a smooth, dynamic user experience with interactive features and real-time updates.

    WhatsApp Web

The web version of the popular messaging app uses React JavaScript to offer seamless synchronization with the mobile app, supporting real-time messaging, notifications, and more.

    Airbnb

Known for its innovative approach to UI/UX, Airbnb uses React JavaScript to create a responsive, intuitive platform for booking accommodations and experiences.

    Netflix

The streaming giant employs React JavaScript for its platform’s low-latency, highly interactive user interfaces, enhancing the browsing and watching experience.

    New York Times

For their website, React JavaScript is used to manage interactive storytelling and multimedia content, offering readers a rich, engaging experience.

    Dropbox

The file hosting service uses React JavaScript in parts of its web interface, improving user interaction and efficiency in file management tasks.

    Uber

Uber’s web interface for riders and drivers leverages React JavaScript to handle real-time data and provide a smooth, map-intensive user experience.

    Twitter

The Twitter Lite web app uses React JavaScript, among other modern web technologies, to provide a fast, efficient, and more accessible version of Twitter.

    Asana

The project management tool uses React JavaScript to offer a dynamic, responsive interface for managing tasks, projects, and teams effectively.

Within a month, you can see your idea start to come to life.

Get started utilizing our software development services
    STEP 1

    Exploration

We complete a series of discovery workshop sessions that take anywhere from a one day to a couple of weeks depending upon the complexity of your idea. The workshops help our team understand your vision and gather sufficient information to create an agile software release plan.

    STEP 2

    Release Planning

Our team creates an agile software release plan including customer/user personas and needs, feature requirements, user interface wireframes, technical architecture and tech stack, and estimates of effort duration and budget. In order to tailer our software development services to your needs, this plan is an essential step. This typically takes one to two weeks to complete.

    STEP 3

    Engagement Model & Team Structure

Within days, we agree upon the best customer engagement model for your needs, the skillsets needed, and the structure of the team.

    STEP 4

    Build Software & Track Results

We initiate agile / scrum development utilizing CodeStringers’ expertise and experience with the methodology. We conduct routine status reviews and demos, give your team direct access to a test environment for your software, and provide progress reports on features completed, QA testing results, and a burn down against the original release plan. If our estimates were low, we know early on. CodeStringers adds resources to hit the deadline at no cost to you.
